What is Pass Plus?

 

Pass Plus is an additional training course designed to improve the driving experience of new drivers who've just passed their driving test. Based on 6 hours of additional instruction one-to-one in the car, organised however you want to suit you, subjects to be covered include motorway driving, dual carriageway driving, night driving, town driving, driving on rural roads and driving in inclement weather. Good driving attitude is reinforced throughout the course.

 

There is no examination (phew!) just a form to complete at the end of the training once the desired standard has been reached-most students achieve the necessary standard in the 6 hours of tuition and do not need to invest more.

 

Most major insurers will give significant discounts on insurance premiums for drivers with a Pass Plus certificate.

Think carefully about the undoubted benefits of Pass Plus. As a new driver, you will not have driven on motorways for instance, and may well not have had lessons after dark or in the rain. Although you've passed your test, there is still much more to experience and learn about safe driving. Pass Plus is an important step in making you a safer driver still.
